Update from Zoe

Wellington was a nice city. The museum was very interesting (not often i say that) they had a lord of the rings exhibition, which was superb! We also went to the parliament building and watched mps arguing from the gallery - very amusing. In the evening we had a good catch up with Tony and Mel, which was lovely.

The next day we got in a flying tin can. This is no exagerration (can't spell that one) it held 12 people and the pilot was 2 rows in front, Dan loved it, me not so much. We landed in Picton then jumped on the bus. Tonight's stop was Nelson where we learnt how to play poker and did a bit of wine tasting, although not enough in my opinion!

We then moved on with plenty of photo/walk stops on the way. Absolutely amazing scenery everywhere you go here. Next we stayed in a hostel near Lake Mahinopoua (again dont think i spelt that right). We had a fancy dress party with a world cup theme. Me and dan went as a red and yellow card. Party was lots of fun, what was not so fun

We were there, honest!
was staying up til 7am to watch england loose to Portugal.

The next day we drove to Franz Josef - didn't do too much today, apart from a walk, as we were completely knackered. Today though we did a full day glacier walk, which was absolutely amazing and anyone who comes to New Zealand should do this. You get boot spikes and everything! The hike up there was pretty tough, but once you get up there and are walking through crevices and sliding through an ice hole and just stare in amazement at all the beautiful blue ice - you soon get over any tiredness felt!

Tomorrow is an early start before heading to a place called Wanaka....ready for the next adventure

Can't add pics on this PC, but will do as soon as i can. Those i haven't had chance to email yet - sorry! I will get to it eventually, hope you are all well. Cheers for the blog comments, it brings a smile to our little faces when we read them!
