Last night Eva and I made up a country-Western song, "Last Night in Venice", today is the last day in Venice. We leave tonight on the hotel train for Vienna. Hate to leave the city of Venice..it is so beautiful, but will be glad to leave the crowds behind. God how the natives must hate the tourists even though they're their livelihood. Americans, especially young Americans are loud, rude, impatient and generally obnoxious.I'll tell you all about the examples when I get home. Over here a compliment is "You don't act like Americans" which we've gotten a couple of times.
We found a couple of hidden places in Venice that aren't so touristy. Wish we had known about the Lido (which isn't really the city of Venice) before we came. It's a beautiful 14 kM beach only 20 mins from the city, and today we went to the glass blowing island of Murano which was really nice. If I ever came to Venice again I'd stay at one of those two places. Or come by cruise ship of which they're are a bunch and a whole seperate area for them.
I'm looking forward to Vienna though and seeing the Lippanzani stallions at the Spanish riding school, and maybe hearing some Mozart!!
GARY: yes, I get your messages...keep them coming........

Sounds like your blending right in with the natives. I did go to the post office and picked up your box you sent home.Animals are all good. Bootsie will let me touch him now.He goes nose to nose with the other cats. When i let the other cats in Bootsie puts his head inside the camp and looks around. When you come home you will have to help me to try to save the garden.Be safe and careful. Love Ya Bunches.
