Hey Everybody!

Welcome to our travel blog. There will be lots of kinks to work out I'm sure, but I thought we should check in while we're lounging in the VIP hang-out! Ha! We had a crazy start with flight time/date confusion (we left a day earlier than we thought we needed to), but dealt like pros and now here we are sipping free wine and enjoying all kinds of goodies.
We flew from Tampa to LaGuardia this morning, and got a bus from LaGuardia to JFK. We had a couple hour wait, but now, as I said, we're enjoying the high life!
We board MaxJet Airline in a couple hours and have about a 7 1/2 hour flight to London, where we'll find Matthew (Carrie's new brother in law) and Helen's flat and decide how we'll absorb London from there. A nap might be our first step, but we may be well-rested after our time in those big ol' comfy seats that recline ALL THE WAY!!
On Saturday we catch a RyanAir flight (very cheap) to Poland, where we'll be met by a Polish friend from the Oyster Bar. Arek is visiting his home turf for about a month, and we'll have the pleasure of getting a tour from not only a Polish native, but also an amazingly dear man who will undoubtedly take great care of us. I've known Arek for about four years, and between the two of us we've had quite a few visits to that side of the Atlantic, and at long last we'll get to meet up. He says there won't be much sleep involved, which scares me with my delicate nature (ahem), but I figure...when's the next time I'll be in Poland with a true expert?! And if my crankiness gets out of hand, Jason knows to feed me chocolate.
After about four days in Poland, we head back to London for a few and then it's off to face the teenagers in Egham! Yikes! I hope I don't make too much fun of them or something and ruin their self-images. It'll be interesting to see if I have any ability to deal with kids in that age group. I feel like they're so close to my age though!
Jason and I have been giggling and acting like idiots out of sheer excitement and lack of sleep, and it's been great fun so far.
Talk to you soon, lots of love,
K8 and Jason

Happy Honeymooners Say Hello
Have fun you crazy kids! We are not at all jealous of the high life. Packed in with sweaty kids and screaming babies was soooo much fun! We highly recommend Air Lingus if you have a long neck to watch the mid cabin TV, are teetotal as all alcoholic beverages cost a bomb and don't require any customer care at all. We can't wait to catch up with you both in person after you have visited Poland who are struggling throught the world cup. We know the USA don't care... but 3-0 that's awful! See you soon, Mr and Mrs Forrester

hi.
Okay, I have added your site to my "favorites" link, and will now be reliably psycho and check for new entries everyday (heavy breathing...) I was getting very annoyed that I couldn't figure out how to view the 4 other comments that have been posted, but then I realized you haven't checked them yet (they "await review")--therefore they haven't been posted to the main site....Okay--a couple of things--did you get that crazy "bug in the british woman's head" video clip that I sent you? Secondly, here is something very cute to think about---I am re-taking the one portion of my dance exam in October in Toronto (hopefully if all goes well....), and the baby (now known as "Cubby" around here), is coming with of course, and we have to get it a passport as soon as it's born. How cute is that---a picture of a tiny little newborn blob on a passport photo??!!?! It's cuter than a hamster in a Barbie convertible, dammit! I keep thinking of a scenario where the customs people keep checking the passport and looking at the baby, and getting very suspicious like it's trying to illegally cross the border.....or when they go to take the picture of Cub, she/he is squinting and making a "poop" face and inadvertantly waving it's little fist at the camera--and that will be the picture on its passport for the next 8 years. Don't spend all ya money on little trinkets, dearie.... LOVE YOU AND HOPE YOU'RE HAVING FUN.
