Well our journey went rather smoothly, apart from the 1st leg of the journey when we were on the National Express coach being rather giddy and thinking ‘wow this journey’s going well i think we’ll make it to the airport with loads of time to spare’ the next thing there’s a bloody fire on the motorway 4 cars ahead of us - GUTTED! Our excited-ness turned to fear, how the hellers are we going to even make our flight never mind the connecting coach at London Victoria! But the good old emergency services came through for us and we were on our way in no time.. PHEW.. lets get giddy again! BANG - London traffic - not a chance are we making that coach to the airport!! Once again ripped off by the black cabs of London town.. but never thee mind, it only made us think GET US OUTTA THIS COUNTRY!
We boarded the flight and got told to turn right - that took us into first class.. oh my are these our seats, wowzer? ‘no no carry on right to the end we got told’ Ok then straight to the section that stinks of sweat & curry it is..yeeehar! The flight flew by though and before we knew it we were flying into Mumbai.. the place looked intense from the sky with all the big dirty buildings crammed together.. definitely didn’t feel mentally prepared to be taking on Mumbai, get us to Bangkok pleeease!
Mumbai airport is worth talking about - little place with KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and a WH Smith, there’s no escaping the buggers!
We landed in Bangkok being told no rain and 31 degrees.. no bin liners needed! We got picked up by Martin the guy who runs the website for the Tattoo School, he had arranged a taxi to take us to Cha Am away from the floods and came along for the ride and to get to know us i suppose, he’s lived here years and we had a very interesting couple of hours taxi journey getting lots of tips and advice putting any nerves or concerns about our futures straight at ease...
Sleep in a bed was 100% needed... zzzzzzz
