My RideMy RideMy Ride

While my truck was getting fixed I rode the local bus for 75 cents around it's circuit.
August 16, Tuesday
I took my truck by R&L around 10 and left it there to be fixed. They said they had a lot of other jobs but would try and expedite the work as I was from out of town and more or less stranded. I thanked them and walked back to the Motel 6.
I rented a room for a second night and decided to make the best of it so got on the Corre Caminos Transit shuttle bus which takes you around the town for 75cents. It will pick up at a turnout right next to the Motel 6 and Macdonalds but I didn't know this and walked up the road a bit to a turnout there. It was nice to be able to look around without having to watch out you don’t run over someone or get run over by someone.
I rode it all around it’s circuit then back downtown and got off and walked around and looked around a bit. It was kind of a neat little town. It was in Silver City that Billy the Kid’s mother died and he was abandoned at 14 by his wife’s second husband who went off to
prospect for gold. Also here that he was arrested for the first time and escaped from the jail here.
After touring the town at my leisure I went back to my room to take a nap and my cell rang. It was R&L letting me know that my truck was ready. I was delighted but dreaded how much it would cost me. I was delighted on this as well as the charge was very reasonable especially when you consider how quickly the work was done. My hat goes off to the R&L Service Center in Silver City.
