our tour director goes on and on and on. He said last night during our 'meet and greet' he was not going to talk too much but was going to be succinct and to the point. Not sure what happened overnight ... we think he has a split personality. HE DOES NOT COME UP FOR AIR and we have another 14 days with him (Alan may strangle him before the end of the trip)!
Only stop today was 'Orvieto' in the province of Umbria. Pretty little town built by the Etruscans on a hill to protect them against invasion. The black basalt and limestone cathedral has a beautiful facade but we did not venture in.
Stopped at our hotel in 'Poggibonsi' situated in the heart of Tuscany where we will be spending the next 4 nights.
