Well...George Street is crazy! Lot's of loud live eastcoast music. Bars are all packed! We went for dinner at Jungle Jims. Fun, crazy place. One of the menu items was a sampler called "Everything including the Kitchen Sink". Also, our friend Dawn ordered a coctail which was 46 oz's! Food was good, but service was very slow. Probably because they were so busy. After dinner we walked around and ended up in a bar called Kelly's. The band had just gone on break and were to be back in 45 minutes. An hour later after having our own fun, we realized the bar was almost empty. Apparently the band left and decided not to return! We called our cab at that point and called it a night. The next morning Dawn and I went on a whale watching boat tour. We didn't see any whales, but had no regrets because the views from the Atlantic were incredible. It was a perfect sunny calm day, although nothing is calm once you leave the harbour!
It's not all fun and games! We are working everyday, but it is fun too! We really have a great team! Hank and I took the bikes for
a ride around town. Not a bad workout with the hills here!
Sunday we went downtown to Shamrock City for dinner. We were joined by Dawn and Monty. Got to experience some real celtic music. Great east coast experience! Just how I had imagined it!
Monday after work, we went for a drive to Petty Harbour. Yet another picturesque place! As we were heading back a fog rolled in off the ocean. Wow! Check out the pics!
Tuesday was our final day of preparing for the Relay. Lot's or errands and last minute duties. Rick joined us at our meeting and gave us a very inspirational speech. What an amazing person! Will finish off this part and start a new entry as of Day 1, which is tomorrow.
Stay tuned,
Weedie and Jeepa xoxo
