Bilbao Day 2

The room we have at the hostel is nice....good to have our own room for a change...we needed it since we have laundry hanging all over the bathroom¡ I don´t think they have laundrymat here in Spain..I remember they didn´t in Mexico. you simply had someone come into the house to do it, might be the same here. Unless we can find one, or at least a fast running stream we´re going to be pretty rank by the time we get out of Spain and Portugal.
Went over travel plans again last night; we´re revising them as we go. We´re off to Leon tomorrow in search of sandals.
Gary: mailed the package home today. Don´t hold your breath waiting for it. it went a barco (by boat)...estimated time of arrival 1-2 months.
So we´ll stay in Leon tomorrrow night, then offf to Portugal where we plan to spend at least 4 days soaking up the sun and eating seafood. We´ll be in Porto day after tomorrow.Bilbao is a great city. Eva went to the Guggenheim to look at here modern art today and I went to Belles Artes later with her to see the masters. The Guggenheim is an incredible building. It looks different from every angle, and when the sun catches it it´s breathtaking. It´s extremely easy to get around the city, there´s a tram that goes around it. a metro. and buses. I prefer the buses cause you can see the city, Eva likes the metro cause it´s faster.
Learning all sorts of stuff about my daughter on this trip.she´s not as go with the flow as I thought, can´t keep up with me and a whole list of stuff she ¨"doesn´t like" like elevators¿ tends to fall asleep before me too....and harder to get up in the morning.
We found the mercado this morning and bought cheese bread and frutas just like the natives and had a picnic in the park.

the dancing fountain is awsome. yeah eva is a real pain in the morning huh? when i try to wake her up she pouts and throws her foot at me...ask her about it she'll probably laugh. im glad the weather is nice for you two. it reained harder than ive ever seen it today. and the apartment almost got stuck by lightning...i didnt tell eva that though. ok have fun and eat lots of good food for me.
