Well....the adventure begins again! Hank and I have arrived safely in Halifax after a very uneventful day of travelling, which is a good thing!
Monday morning the driver team met up and we headed for the ferry. Monty and I tossed a coin for the Motorhome. He lost! Joke was on me cause I had to fuel my truck twice as much. Chaulking up the airmiles though! Dawn and I made it to the Ferry just in time...we took the scenic route. Cape Breton island was very beautiful. The ferry ride was about 6 hours. Very smooth tour. It was quite foggy porting in Port Aux Basque but thanks to Hank the Beacon we made it in safely! We spent the night here. We enjoyed a yummy pan fried cod dinner with scrunchins! Tuesday we carried on to Grand Falls Windsor. Easy driving day once we got through the 75km winds through the '' Wreckhouse''. Gorgeous piece of highway but can be very treacherous! Wednesday we travelled to St. John's. Stunning scenery! After we arrived at the hotel, Hank and I took a tour out to Cape Spear. This is the most eastern point of North America. It is incredible! Words cannot do it justice. I hope the pics can! Later we had a driver meeting (😉)! at the restaurant. Good times with good team mates!
Thursday we toured around St. John's picking up vehicles, fixing, running errands etc. We were joined by four more team mates. Dawn, Monty, Jeremy and I took our lunch break out at Signal Hill. Another breath taking spot! Friday we did a little more running around. Hank and I took two of the "Mistys" (bikes) out for a spin on our lunch break. Not a bad workout with the hills here! We are heading down to the infamous "George Street" tonite. Will add those pics and stories to the next blog.
Take care all and have a great weekend!
Jeepa and Weedie xoxo
