Beautiful church
So Suzy and I arrived at her place in Cambridge last night. It looked pristine after Gav's place in Birmingham! We just hung out and relaxed for a while, surfed the net, watched Angel (the take off on Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and ate Chicken Pot Pies. Then Suzy and I got a few drinks down at the gay pub on the corner. I keep meeting these British men that want to practice their Italian. They have horrible Italian accents, I have to try to keep from laughing. But I met a nice gay man in is 40s who decided to try is Italian on me. It was nice to practice again.

Today Suzy marked a route for me on her roommate's fold-out map and I went exploring through town. Cambridge is very beautiful; it has the same ambiance as Oxford yet looks quite different. You definitely get that college-town feel walking around here. I basically spent the morning shopping and looking at the beautiful facades of churches and campus buildings. This damn country hasn't got any less expensive so I bought today's lunch at the pharmacy.

Now I'm back at Suzy's hanging with Suzy while she makes stir-fry

and salad for me and all of her roommates. What a 'brilliant' host!

gay pubs
Are there gay pubs all over the place, or just in the more hip places like Cambridge and London? How are you feeling about being a native speaker?
