Early morning picture taking...notice the sunnies.
Today is Todd’s birthday and he’s spending it in Florence. Our day started as normal…breakfast in hotel, bus to city, city tour then free time.

First thing after the city tour was lunch. We were on a mission NOT to eat pizza again. We had lunch in a café with Louisa and Michael. Finally we got pasta. I had some yummy tomato cream fettuccine and Todd had spaghetti Carbonara.

Next mission…buy a leather jacket. The one thing I knew I was going to buy in Europe was a leather jacket from Florence. I knew the style and colour of the one I wanted and found it in Peruzzi.

Anyways we had this guy look after us at Peruzzi. At the beginning he was very friendly and helped us out a lot. I had decided quickly but Louisa was still undecided about hers. The salesman was hovering over us and it was pretty annoying. He suddenly became really pushy. Really pushing us to go to the counter already. I then asked him if we could have a couple of minutes just to think about it. You know just to talk it over or something without him standing there. He

turned! He started ranting and yelling about commission or something about missing lunch. He snatched the jackets from us! We got scared / annoyed so left. On the way out I saw the jacket I wanted in my size and colour so grabbed it and headed to the counter. He followed me and snatched that one too! We were sooooo annoyed!

Louisa and I went to the other Peruzzi store down the road. The salesman I dealth with in the morning was there and we stormed in and said that we didn’t want to deal with the big store anymore. The nice salesman apologized for his colleague over and over. He also managed to get us the jackets we wanted from the big store and bring it to the small store.

In the end we have our jackets and we love them. Will probably be my biggest purchase but still very happy to pay for it. It will bring back lots of great memories about Europe 

After some quick souvenir shopping we are back on the bus to the hotel. Dinner is included. It’s a bit bland and very rushed. Afterwards we have drinks downstairs at the bar with a few others from the tour. An older couple from WA, Con from Perth, Floris, Truus (tour director) and Christean (driver). A couple Lemoncellos later it’s upstairs to pack and get some sleep.
