Good Bye Hong Kong

We are currently sat in a cafe in Hong Kong airport waiting for our flight to Sydney! We had a nice lie in this morning, our beds were so comfy (apart from Matt's!) I think we are slowly getting used to the time difference.

This morning we went for a walk along the avenue of stars where we saw Jackie Chan, Bruce Lee and Jet Li's stars on the floor. Along the way Matt bought some cuttlefish which was actually quite nice, we told Mum it was tiger shark and she still had some ha ha. Whilst we were sat having a drink, a German lady walked past and asked if we were from Deutschland - I responded in German and attempted to engage in a clever German conversation, however it didn't turn out to be that easy as she seemed to be slightly 'special', instead she tested out her English on me! I told her several times we were from Derby, although she appeared to like to think we were from Dover... it was easier to just agree with her ha ha.

Dad also made a friend today. Whilst he was sat on the wall, an Indian man joined him and told him his fortune. Dad was told that he had three kids and also that he would come into $99 million (lol) shortly after this, the guy proceeded to ask dad for some money which he didn't have ($100), when we joined him, mum and I offered him $1, but for some reason he just walked away...

It has been absolutely boiling and very sunny today!! We stopped for some lunch at a nice Irish pub that Mum found which was air conditioned (although pretty much everywhere has air con in HK!).

After our lunch we walked back to the hotel after a short look around some shops. We got our luggage from the hotel and got the bus then the train to the airport. We've got a nice view from where we are sat at the minute of all the planes landing!! We take off in a few hours and by this time tomorrow, we will be in Sydney!

I will try and update this again tomorrow. Some photos from today will be uploaded the next time we do the blog!
