I had never driven the Mulholland Drive before so Adam was accomodating this morning on our way to the Getty Museum.

The drive is in the Santa Monica Mountains and the San Fernado Valley in on the other side of the mountain. There are some really good views from this drive. The home range from average to awesome. all built on a hillside with stilts supporting them and a few houses along the ridge. Can you imagine the cost of property on the ridge$$$$$$.

The Getty Museum is an ultra modern art museum with some very nice works of art including pictures, paintings, furniture and my favorite items the clocks. But you could only take picture of certain things. And once I yelled at for trying to take a picture; I got stubborn and stopped taking pictures. Luckily Adam took more than I did. After 3 hours of roaming the galleries and the grounds we left to drive to Santa Monica for a late lunch. We went to the 3rd St. Prommenade and ate at "Yankee Doodles", I had an awesome turkey burger and Adam had a hamburger. We both looked longingly at the mega burger that was the

size of a dinner plate and could easily feed 4 linebackers. Too late to change our order-maybe next time.

The opportunity for shopping at REI is good as it is just around the corner. I need a few things that I haven't gotten yet, a pair of smart wool socks for my tennis shoes, a camp towel and a quick dry shirt. Looking for a nice pair of black hiking pants but thing there fits the bill.

I was living on the wild side today as I wore my Ohio State ball hat. An employee at the Getty told me my white shirt just might get a little dirty because of my hat. Inferring that locals don't like OSU?? Then a waiter at the restaurant a michigan guy said that the rivalery between our states started with a border dispute over a lake erie port of call. The animosity continues to today. Well I think its all about Ohio inventing football and they didn't. You can't believe a michigan guy..

It;s been a long day and I am ready to head back to Adam place. It's only 7:30 but that's 10:30 Ohio Time.
