What the hat loses in style points, it makes it up in functional necessity. It will hopefully keep my head, ears, and neck from frying in the desert sun!
I think one of the most time consuming things to do for this trip is to pack for it. How do you travel for a month with one backpack and a daypack? I can't bring an outfit for each day but I can wash clothes along the way. I am traveling to three different countries and will be on the move alot so I can't take along lots of luggage. So after much debate I have decided what I am going to take with me and the verdict is not very much stuff at all. If I have to buy it while I am there then so be it. If I can't find that item on that side of the world then I have to ask myself how can millions of people do without that particular item. I am anxious to start my trip, which will happen in less then a week. So long and farewell, I am going to the Middle East!

This is the backpack that will carry my stuff through the Middle East. That backpack and I are going to become good friends.

I just went to your site and see how you've organized. The photos are great and the opportunity before you extra-ordinary. I'm looking forward, with you, to your trip. Hope to send you off with a joyous Bracha (Blessing) on Thursday night. Shalom and L'hitraot (see you soon) Rosalind Horowitz
