If you're going to San Francisco....

So I arrived finally at 2am!! I slept most of the flight but i was still so tired!!
I was moved to the emergency door row which has LOADS of legroom(a family was there and kids cant sit there) The attendant was like "If you sit here you must help in an emergency" haha I was half dead, I wouldnt have been much use!
So my fears were right, my rep was nowhere to be seen!! Luckily i had gotten talking to a couple on their honeymoon from Sheffield and they were staying at the same hotel.
So I jumped in there shuttle and paid $17.
I went straight to bed when i unpacked knowing i had to be up early for my movietour and to meet the rep in lobby.
The rep was lovely and so apologetic, he said everything was a mess with all the delays and he just couldnt stay til 2am.
He refunded my taxifare and gave me lots of great tips and advice and also gave me my information about when i leave on Sunday. I get taken to the airport at 6:30am!! I dont care though, more time in Vegas!!
So enter stupid Lucy, I jumped on the bus to head down to fishermans wharf...only took the wrong number 19, i was going to city hall!! So i got off and walked back to the original bus stop and then got on the right one.
Now my bus was delayed a couple of mins and i was frantically checking my watch.
When i arrived at the wharf i had to run quite far to get to pier 43 1/2 and just as i got there i saw my bus turning a corner 😞 To be fair if having only 3 hours proper sleep, i shouldnt have gone on it anywa. My rep said he was so suprised to see me up so early, he was going to call me in my room earlier but didnt know if i would be awake.
So i didnt go on my first tour, annoyed at myself for being dopey and getting the wrong bus but to be fair ive seen half the locations today by foot. But yea stupid mistake made most likely due to tiredness anyway. I have walked MILES!
I started walking down towards pier 39, i got an ice lolly called A Big Stick, it was like pineapple and cherry and really nice.
I could hear the seals before i got there and i teared up a bit under my sunglasses, they are so beautiful and really put on a show for the visitors. It was a surreal moment watching them with Alcatraz and Golden Gate Bridge behind me.
There is this really cool restaurant called Forbes Island which is literally a restaurant on water. It looks tiny and more for romantic meals as you have to get into a row boat to get to it.
Aww Sittin On The Dock Of The Bay has just come on the radio..I was doing just that today! Very apt!!
So as i passed the seals and all the other boat tours i spotted one that sounded and looked amazing! ROCKETBOAT!!!!
It is a high speed boat ride around the bay set to a heavy rock soundtrack. So i booked to go on the next one.
I chose to sit at the back, wondering why everyone was upfront. Big mistake.
So as the likes of Van Halen, Judas Priest and Foo Fighters came on I got drenched!! It was so fun though i felt like i was in a video game or some kind of action scene from a film!!
It was half hour of wind and water and breathtaking views. I would take that ride everyday if i could, it was fantastic and totally worth the $24.
And it got me hummin Robert Palmer's Bad Case Of Lovin You for ages after.
Then i went onto Pier 39 which is like a beach boardwalk of shops, restaurants etc. I had nachos for dinner and they were soo nice, just what i needed.
I had a good look in the shops, so many great ones and bought some sweets and fruit from this amazing fruit market thing. I bought these lovely strawberries, cherries and the biggest plum and peach i have ever seen in my life. I also bought a couple of xmas tree decorations from this holiday store which was really cool. It made me want to go all Lampoons at xmas! They had any kind of decoration you wanted, traditional to the untraditional, sparkly Bud can anyone?
I decided to walk to the Alcatraz terminal so i knew where to go on fri night and as i was looking at my map i thought it would be a good idea to just walk back to the hotel. The weather is hot but breezy so why not?
I walked past the Colt Tower(which i will climb the several hundred steps to the top tomorrow) and was trying to work out which way my map was when this lovely local just came up and asked if i needed help. You would never get that in Grimsby!
So she showed me the way to Chinatown and i took the fairly long walk there. Chinatown has lots of shops full of tacky San Francisco merchandise at low cost prices so i think im gonna go there for little knick knacks at some point. The restaurants scared me a bit as there wasnt much written in english and i dont want to be given something weird. I did see some lollipops with crickets, scorpions and worms in that i was tempted to buy to force someone at home to eat. Maybe.
Broadway...the streets are all glittery i kid you not!
So i finally got back to the hotel it was a good hours walk which wouldnt have been too bad had i not spent the previous 6 hours walking around the wharf.
Ive got the AC on and im laid on my bed in my pjs as i feel cream crackered and want to rest before i head out for food later. The strawberries were amazing by the way.

hmmmmm
Hmmm red vines, are they amazing? Did you buy the pug crossing sigh to put on your door, napoleon style. Those cherries look amazing, although it kinda reminds me of witches of eastwick...

Red Vines are a bit bland tbh, ive got you a pack anyway. Im gonna hunt down some twizzlers, all i keep seeing are liquorice ones at the mo. The cherries are nice...i can see why it would remind you of Witches though!! I didnt get the sign, i wouldve considered it if there was a black one. There is this doggy shop and it has big tiles and one has a black pug with his tongue out, very Freddy. They also sold doggy microwave popcorn in various flavours which i think i may get. Cherry Sours are amazing btw.
