SOOOOOOO
BEST IDEA YET FOR KAT AND I
we woke up the other day in barcelona..
by the way dad.. that is ridiculous that you had your birthday there..
you should have let me know hwere.. and i could have taken a picture!
haha.. anyway... we woke up.. and there was no vacancy left
at the hostel we were staying at.. and we were supposed to be going
to madrid.. and that hostel was booked up as well..
so we started talking with some random guys
and we heard them say they had come from a place called san sebastion... so kat and i decided to go... we checked trains and jumped on the next one.. funny thing was.. is that we checked
for hostels and budget hotels everywhere online.. and there
was no where to stay.. but we still wanted to come.. so we decided
to hope for the best.. we got here at 10 at night.. and walked around for like.. half an hour.. looking and calling for places to stay.. and there
was actualy nothing.. so we were five minutes from going to stay
at a really expensive hotel for the night.. which would have sucked..
because it would have been about 70 euro... each compared to 15
so.. out of nowhere some surfer guy came up and asked what we were looking for.. we chatted for a bit.. and then out of nowhere
he was like.. okay.. im a hostel owner and we are going to fit you in..
So he runs this tiny hostell.. which is actually a house on a hill
and he only lets about 12-15 pèople stay at a time.. and they go
into town.. and they pick people they want to stay with them
they strike up a conversation and see if they are worthy!!
haha anyway!! we love love love it there!! its acctuallly like.. living in a house with 10 roomates and there is a kitchen.. and you just leave your stuff everywhere and everyone is messy and halarious.. and soo nice...and you all eat dinner together at night. and the 3 surfer guys that run it are soo awesome. So we settled in around midnight..
and everyone was just getting ready to go out! so we went to check out the town and didnt get back till 4 am.. but it was soo fun. and we felt soo safe. san sebastion is like the rich snobby capital of spain
so the streets are so clean and mug-free.. if that makes sense.
but we travel in big groups anyway. OKay and then kat and i checked
out the town and the beach all day yesterdday.. this place is beautiful, its sooo hot and the beach is beautiful and there are soo many surfers because the waves are ridiculous and everyone is really chill
and nice. and its inexpensive and you can walk everywhere.
So i dont think we ever want to leave. But we have to go meet brennan in paris. haha. OOOH also! the most insane thing ever...we are staying with four girls from banff and they know ily and the boys!!
and one of the girls named TOVA recognized me from Bowling for Clementine!!! HOW INSANE IS THAT!! so last night we were going crazy because we couldnt believe that we all met in spain at some totally random hostel.
we are also staying wiht... 3 australians... 2 new zealanders and 3 americans.. and our surfer owners are also all australian...we have a good family going.
um... we woke up early today.. 11:30 haha.. yesterday we slept in till 1:30! but it was the best sleep i had this whole trip. and now we are headed to the beach.
I never want to leave this place, we need to decide if we want to go to madrid on monday or stay here for my birthday. COOL
sorry that i havent been keeping in touch very well... we are soo busy
and its hard to fit in internet sometimes!

that is an amazing story (how the hostel came to you) I'd say someone who loves you very much and thrills in blessing you, is watching over you!! Also the girls who know Ily etc and saw you on bowling for clementine ( that is wild)!!! Hi to KK too!! Love mom
