Sisters
Peg, Jen, Me, Kath I went to the U2 show yesterday in Oakland with family and friends. Some of the pictures were taken in San Francisco where my sister Kathleen and friends Liz and Dave had lunch before the concert. A bunch of us tailgated in the parking lot before the concert. It was an amazingly well done concert with great acoustics and state-of-the-art audio-visual. Liz has been to almost 50 U2 concerts and my sister has been to many of those with her. This was my second. My first was the Joshua Tree Tour in San Diego in about 1987.
True to their form of being innovators, U2 set up a live audio-visual link with the International space station and the commander of the space station rapped lyrics with Bono. U2 always seems to give a little more than what is expected of them which is probably why they are still packing 80,000 people into stadiums 25 years later. I suppose that is the moral of this story. Always give a little more than is expected and you will remain in high demand.
When U2 closed without playing their most famous song, rumors started spreading like wild fire that they may have
finally found what they were looking for.
