M- Trees, RVs and Trailers Parks - I don’t think I’ve ever seen as many in a single day!
Yesterday we arrived in Klamath Falls. K Falls is about an hour south of Crater Lake, our primary reason for being there. K Falls is pretty forgettable, a deserted little town that has obviously seen better days or perhaps is just waiting for the tourist season to kick off. Crater Lake though was worth the ride. A 5 mile wide lake in the crater of a volcano filled with rainfall and melting snow. Apparently it’s the deepest lake in North America and has some of the clearest water anywhere. The drop from the rim to the lake is not far from vertical but I have got to admit the fact that it was covered in deep power had the skier in me very tempted ..… Very spectacular. You can see from the photos just how deep the snow was.

A little bit of snow though wasn’t going to force us to put the top up on the car. Crank up the heating and carry on. We did finally however admit defeat a few hours later when we were the nearing the South Oregon coast and the rain began to get a little heavy. Tomorrow we begin to work our way up the coast and are looking forward to the scenery and hopefully and improvement in the weather which is a little damp at the moment.
