Just a "wee" update..

Heya all..
Just thought i would post a lil update.. Things are going a lot better here now, starting to get into a normal lifestyle pattern and all the rest..
I had my first week at work this week, and it was great, we are only training at the moment, but its been fun. Most importantly is, i think i have managed to understand their accent now.. lol there are soooo many different accents here, theres people who are born and rainsed Manchester and they say "in'it" or "yeah" at the end of every sentence.. then there are the York people who have a funny accent, the liverpoolians or scousies that have thick accents.. Scottish have the coolest accent, they say "wee" for little.. its really funny..
The weather has been really crappy.. its funny cos they call this SPRING almost summer! and they wear summer clothes, and then you see Rangi and Ali walking around with thick jumpers and scarfs on under a umbrella.. lol.. its colder in their spring than NZ winter! Shocker aye!
We went to church for the first time in Manchester last week and it was great.. The ward is called Stretford ward.. whats really cool, is that because its the city ward where all tyhe students live, there are about 10 students (YSA) in the ward and they have a family feed them from the ward every Sunday, like missionaries.. So me and Rangi managed to be scabs last Sunday and have a HUGE feed at Stake Presidents house.. hehe we felt really random at first then the kiwi in us kicked in, and didnt give a care.. hehe
Last night we went to our first dance here, and it was aight.. alot different to home thats for sure.. they have smoke machines and flashing lights and stuff... and nice treats to eat.. we have made some good friends, and they look after us well.. We are on our way to Leanne's house now to watch Pride and Prejudice and have a girlee day.. relax and all.. and then get ready for Sunday.. Ohh yeah we are stayin in Levenshulme now with one of the YSA, so we are out and away from the city now, which is great.. we wont be here long tho, still waiting to get our own place..
Well nothing else really to note.. still podding along slowly, getting to know the area, and things to do.. might go to the CADBURY FACTORY sometime this week too.. yes you heard right.. the cadbury factory! yum yum.. hehe..
