Table for two?
I guess there are worse places to be. Well it turns out we were in Ibiza for Katie´s birthday so we rented some motor scooters and went out to explore the island. Rode all day long and found plenty of secluded spots to enjoy. Got some beach time and saw some great views. The maze of one way streets in town was crazy, but we made due and enjoyed it more once we got outside of town on the two lane country roads. Lots of traffic circles. There is one about every other intersection. I usually dont mind them, but when you´re on a 1/2 horsepower bicycle, you tend to get a bit nervous. But we survived with minimal injuries. Katie ended up with a couple of close calls and only ended up getting hurt when she put her leg too close to the exhaust. Got a nice burn mark. She wasn´t even on the scooter at the time. She was putting it up on the kickstand. Go figure.
Oh, we were on one of the beaches. I opened up an umbrella for some shade. I don´t want to tan anymore and turn purple. It was a nice day though. Blue waters of the Mediteranean washing up on
This beach is dead.
I guess we could hang out here on this beach with no one on it. But just for a little bit. a white sand beach. Sun was out. Comfortable beach chairs. Glass of sangria. Ipod tunes and a light breeze blowing just hard enough to scoop up the top of our umbrella off of its stand and send it hurling into the air towards the water. Sweet. Thankfully I did not have to chase it all the way into the Sea. Nope, luckily, right in front of us was a lady and her 1 year old baby sitting in the sand. They had positioned themselves perfectly to stop my umbrella as it came slamming down on top of them, not only hitting them, but also kicking up sand on the recoil to blur their vision and choke their airway. Just plain lucky I guess. The baby was fine, and so was the mom. The husband came running up from the water not very happy with me. I appologized profusely, got my umbrella and went back to me sangria. Ya, like it was my fault. But I didn´t open the umbrella back up. I even saw a few people close theirs after they witnessed that one. Marcus strikes again.
I should mention that the t.v. in the hotels has MTV. Except
it´s in German. Goooda ya. And they also had some cool talk shows about movies coming out soon. But that channel was in Italian. Malto Bene. Oh, and there were a couple of spanish stations as well. But they had american shows that had been dubbed over. I didn´t know Dennis Franse from NYPD Blue could roll his RRRRRr´s so well. I, on the other hand, cannot. My spanish is improving, but that isn´t saying very much. I´ll keep trying, as it tends to frustrate people, and I find that a bit funny. But I am learning slowly, but surely.
I wanted to try and take the ferry back to the mainland, but found a great site with a cheep flight to Barcelona instead. Besides, why ferry for 4 hours and train 3, when you could just fly and get there in 50 minutes? Plus it cost the same amount. That is what I call a win, win situation. And that doesn´t happen too often.
I have to catch all of you up. I fell behind with the blogs while I was traveling and I want you all to keep up. So there will be a few arriving
Plethera of ideas.
No frig? No cooler? No problema. soon. Speed Read if you have to. My fingers are tired though.

You might as well drink that beer if you're going to ride that little moped!
