Just thought this picture looked cool
The following day we took a 5 hour bus ride to the next largest city in Tibet, Rikaze. We visited a temple there. Very beautiful temple with it's beautiful view.
So, at this point, I still have not fully recovered from my high altitude sickness. My body has not gotten use to the high elevation. So, if 3,000 meter was not high enough, our next destination was the highest salt lake in the world, the Holy Namtso Lake. This lake is about 4,500 meters high.
Oh my god, I felt like I was going to die! You take it for granted that most of the countries we come from have cars that have suspension and the road we ride on are relatively smooth. I know in the states when we hit a bump or something that makes the car jiggle a little, we're like, "what the heck was that?!" Well, I had a huge headache while on road to Namtso Lake. I wish we had those little bumps we get in the states in Tibet. I was crying OUCH OUCH OUCH throughout the bus ride. I felt like our bus was on hydrolics!

Aside from my sickness, the scenery was always beautiful. I could sleep on the bus and wake up still having a nice view. The sky was an absolute blue and the view of the mountains were very National Geographic like. In the middle of the bus ride, we stopped in the middle of no where to eat lunch. I am serious about stopping in the middle of no where. All you saw was a plateau, mountains, and the sky. We sat eating our nasty boxed lunches and all of a sudden these kids come out of no where. It was crazy! It was like the movies where mountain people pop out and swarm the foreigners. Since our food was not very satisfying, most of us gave our left overs to them....yeah aren't we nice.

Ok, by the way....I am not the only with the high altitude sickness. The whole tour group had it.
