So last night we boarded the night train to hue. Our lovely Guy at hotel paid our taxi to train station. He was adorable, if anyone is ever in ninh binh def stay at ngoc anh hotel!. Hard sleeper was not too bad, pretty much same as soft sleeper but six beded rather than four. Had one annoying drunk coughing his guts up and sitting on our bed and trying to push his way over my shoulder to watch our film. He got moved later on though thankfully. Arrived in hue to lovely welcome only to then be lied to saying they never had our hotel booking and they wanted us to stay elsewhere. We stood our ground though, and later found out its because owners family want our room tonight. We were then shown the room they would give us tomorrow but not tonight and since it was empty we made ourselves at home and refused to leave. Pretty fair we felt since we had booked and confirmed booking too. They eventually gave in and we got room we wanted for two nights at good price. Def pays to get just as pushy as them!.
