Hey, Friends and Family!!

Well, I made it today to New Jersey where I will be staying with my niece, Stacey, and her husband, Johnny, until I find an apartment in the city. Just wanted to let you all know I am here and if you wish to get updates about my stay, you can sign up for my blog. This is a new experience for me but it will hopefully be the easiest way for me to let you know what's going on with me as well as to hear from you!

My current plan is to make some calls in the morning, set up some appointments to look at apartments and go into the city to see what I can find. Stacey is taking Wednesday off to go with me so maybe by Thursday I will know where I will be living. On Wednesday evening I'm taking a train to Connecticut to see Shelley, Jason, and the kids for a day or two and by the weekend I'd like to move in to my new place. I'll let you know how that goes!

What a fun adventure! Hope this means that the house deal went through as planned and you feel free and unencumbered. The blog is a great idea - glad you thought of it. I found out my sisters have planned a trip for my 60th birthday next month - yea! I'm afraid I won't be able to visit you in the Big Apple although I'm with you in spirit.
