From Cancun to Mexico City

Hello my dear friends!

How are you all doing?

I'd like to welcome you to my adventure called "From Cancun to Mexico City".

For those of you who are not that familiar with the country of Mexico and my doings here I would like to mention that I spent three fantastic months in the world class touristic destination of Cancun. This city is located at the most eastern tip of the Yucatan peninsula in Mexico, just one hour away from Havana in Cuba and one and half hour from Miami in Florida. It's a great place to live and work. I met here lots of very nice people who made my stay very enjoyable and unforgettable.

Especially I would like to thank Bérénice and Julian who helped me a lot at the beginning after my arrival. Thank you guys for everything! I am in your debts and you are always welcome to my house wherever that might be!
A big thanks goes to Javier, Cinthia & Co. from Oribitrips for giving me the opportunity to work in this beautiful country. I also would like to thank all my buddies from Art Deco, especially Jesse, Oli, Ishmael and Janelle for the good times we spent together. To my ex-girlfriend, Michelle, I thank for the crazy parties and nights. Thanks to people form B.Org cafè, Romy and Roberto, for their help in any matter.

I also would like to say hello to all the people I met here in Cancun, especially: Marcos, Chimi, Denis, Paul, Vici from the Tacos place, the Mayan woman from the Quesadillas place, my former coworkers from Orbitrips, Vlad & Sveta, Peka & Sara and all the others I somehow interacted with. You all contributed a lot that my stay in Cancun was such a pleasant one.

I will keep you posted about my adventure here in Mexico. My rough route plan you can see if you click on maps. I will basically do my way southward from Cancun over Merida, Campeche, Palenque, San Cristobal, Oaxaca, Puebla and finally arriving in Mexico City sometime during Easter. I will start my adventure on Sunday the 3rd of April heading from Cancun to Merida first.

It's the first time I am blogging so if you see any mistakes or you have any recommendations regarding this blog feel free to tell me. I will try to update my blog as often as possible. I hope I will find some appropriate internet cafès on my way. I am also very open to any suggestion and help regarding the travel itself. If you know of any places worth visiting or any nice hostels to stay at I would be thankful for the hint.

Now it's time for me to indulge for the very last time in the pristine blue water of the Caribbean Sea, white sandy beaches and weather you might think exists only in fairy tales. Off to the beach....
