Greetings from lovely Sydney. It's raining again. I think it's following me about, though probably quite slowly since the first few days were good. I guess I've just got to keep moving.

Anyway, Sydney is pretty cool in a 'pretty much like any other large, western city' way. To be honest, it porbably doesn't help that everyone I've associated with so far is either a backpacker or recently immigrated, so that might as well be in London for all the Australians I've met. It probably doesn't help that I'll be doing the most heavily travelled route as well, maybe I'll take a couple of detours, I don't know.

I kind of need it to get out of Kings Cross, the area where I'm staying. What can I say... the price is right at least. Unfortunately it's also Sydney's Red Light District/Skid Row, though my actual hostel is tucked in out of the way of the action and is a nice little place, so I stayed. Maybe I'll choose a different location when I return, though.

Anyway, I've done some of the tourist stuff so far (Opera house tour, Bondi beach, stroll around the Rocks, aquarium), though I'm going to have to come back for at least four working days to get my Vietnam visa (Grr! Hassle!). So, despite the fact that there is yet more to see I'm going to go off north now (first stop Byron Bay!) and worry about Sydney again later.

Sorry for the short entry. Don't really feel up for writing a novel right now. Bye!

Bungey Jump
Time for an update. Why no mention of bungey jumping in NZ?

Yes, I know.
I can't remember why I didn't put it. I think I wanted it to be a surprise.
