Exploring Italy

Well, obviously I have been lacking updates, so I will make it a good one. Last weekend, I traveled north to Venice for Carinvale. It was crazy. It was a good mixture of Halloween in Athens, Ohio and Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Throughout the day, was just walking around, running into people with more outrageous costumes and checking out the city. Venice is beautiful and it was easy to get lost. Be sure to make it to Venice before it is completely under water. On the last day, my friends and I took a gondola ride. And since then there has been a smile on my face. I thought that 30 minutes was the best I have had thus far and would do it again in a heartbeat.
Travelling home to Rome, we encountered snow which I can say I miss but not too much. The last week in Rome was hectic. Allegedly, I also came here to study and school is getting in the way of my travel plans. For art class, I traveled back to Florence. My art teacher is insane and we hit every cathedral and museum in the city. As a part of the class you had to chose a painting or sculpture and give a 15 presentation in front the object. Mine happened to be at the Uffizi, which is easily one of the most famous museums in the world. Actually, my presentation went well and even gained an audience more than just my class.
My time here is flying by and my good friend Tom made his way into Rome last night. I get to become a tourist again and show him the sights. On Wednesday I leave for spring break. London to Ireland to Amsterdam to meet Graham and my Dad. This should be interesting and I glad you are keeping up on my journey.
