Went to the registration and notary office this morning. Everything is now official. Well, we still need to wait for the final document from the notary office, but the documents have been signed and she is officially ours.

She slept for ten hours last night. Awoke at 6:00am and drank a bottle for Mommy and her brothers to see. I later took her down stairs and gave her two and a half bowls of congee. I started with half a bowl to see how she ate it. She cried when I stopped giving it to her. This was the first time I saw crying with tears. She fussed a few times in the middle of the night. But that was just a fuss and back to sleep. This was a "you took away my happiness" cry. I rushed to get a full bowl and gave her some bread to tide her over. The bread was not a hit. The second bowl was consumed and more tears followed. She hit the second full bowl and cried again. I had to take her out of the chair to convince her that breakfast was over. So on our first official breakfast together she ate more food than I was able to.

After breakfast we left for the registration office. She fell asleep on the way. After that much food, I might have slept, too. It took us five minutes to awaken her for the photograph. She played nicely with some of the other children and we traveled to the notary office. I placed her in the recessed section of the table and declared her the centerpiece. She sat nicely and ate a few Gerber Puffs, the best baby snack money can buy. As if you can get baby snacks for something other than money. If I could change the dirty diapers in for baby snacks, I would. Anyway, we left there and decided to eat at a coffee house for lunch. She had other plans. I entered the hotel with her wide awake and asked if another family wanted to join us. By the time they got "no" out, she was asleep again.

So here I sit, blogging while she sleeps. Lunch sure sounded nice. I will find a way to get food soon.

How much longer will you be there? The girl eats like a football player - LOL!! Keep her awake before your trip home and maybe she'll sleep quite a while on the plane ride home. The last set of pictures of her now are all so precious. I was going to print them out, but my ink is low on my printer. Seems like it's almost always low or out. I want to print out some pictures of Lilly Hope, too. I don't think you guys have received pictures of her yet. I'm so glad that you are doing so well at keeping everyone informed. God bless you son of mine... Love you, Mom
