Soft Landing in Mesa

After being snowed on in Tucson, we hitched up and headed to Val Vista Village in Mesa, where we will spend the month of March.

It was an easy drive. About half way, we stopped off at a road side rest area for lunch, and a nap for me and Shaddy. He knows the routine, and we enjoy climbing into the bed for a nap during our lunch stops.

We are in a nice pull through site at Val Vista, located in a pet friendly area. Shad and I took a walk around the resort while Nan made shrimp chowder for dinner.

I might look into some woodworking while here, but don’t hold me to it. The times for shuffleboard and bocce seem to compete. Nan is looking forward to exercise dancing and exercise classes in the heated swimming pool.

We will do some day trips during our stay, and perhaps an overnight trip to Sedona to grab some photos.

We are looking forward to seeing friends Dave and Mare during our stay in Mesa. Dave and I formed a friendship on an online cooking group, and last year it was a treat to see him nose to nose.
