Old church in Salta
We are completely churched out, however pretty it might be! Through the hard times and the good,
I have to celebrate you, baby
I have to praise you
like I should-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d-d...
We're writing a blog again, which can only mean one thing...we are waiting. Only this time it is for a big huge plane that will bring us back to England. That is now a lie, but we are too lazy to change things...Hello out there! See you all soon.
Since we managed to leave Bolivia we've been to Salta. It was nice, and then the Iguazu Falls (it's amazing how vast quantities of water attract people), it was unbelievable - as we had been told it was. We even hopped across to Brazil, which was nice.
We followed all this with a week in Uruguay, windy, empty, nice.
Now we are in Buenos Aires one more time...and we'd probably describe it as nice. We haven't done much, and that has been .....nice. It has been invaded by alien cows though.
Trip summary - also known as OLD MAN FACTS
Countries visited - 6
Borders crossed - 13
Hours spent on buses - 15 and a half complete days. We are now very Devil's Throat
It might only be water but there is quite a lot of it! good at sitting and doing nothing! Another 3 and a half days on planes trains and automoboats doesn't count because the variety was too exciting for us.
Distance travelled - (?) a very long way - guessing 15000+km just on buses!
Highest height - 5300m, didn't beat your best ever Luke...always next time though.
Best mosquito bite total - about 170 after a day in the jungle, just on Mel.
Number of scams - 2. One at the start and one at the end. We HATE taxi drivers.
Number of mullets - 7652 (really nice!)
Number of times we were sick - 3 (It really is only this many times, despite obviously sounding like hypochondriacs. I guess we are just British and therefore like to whinge, but thank you very much for the concern.)
Best thing about Argentina - RED WINE (we have been seeing how cheap you can go while still being nice: we are down to 50p although it's better to spend that whole pound). Steak will come in a close second, followed by Ushuaia.
Best thing about Chile - Spotting somebody who is smiling, a rare event. Just kidding,
Another pretty view
This time we are in Argentina Torres del Paine National Park - lots of walking in an amazing landscape. They also win most amusing fashion crimes, shoulder pads and luminous fishnet gloves will always be a winner.
Best thing about Peru - Huaraz, we trekked with donkeys and joined in the town's annual water fight day.
Best thing about Bolivia - everything that isn't a bus strike. Between the rainforest and the Salar de Uyuni, it couldn't have been more random and extreme.
Overuse of the word nice - 0. You get a bit superlative bored after describing fantastic places for five months!
Most surprising fact - Macchu Picchu isn't that old. Issue!
What we've learnt - Happiness is a clean flush toilet and a hot shower.
THE END!
We'll annoy you in person now..

Cool
Wow, bet that was pretty awesome! You've got some really nice pics too. Will you be able to cope with urban life again? Myself and Laura are off around New Zealand at the end of this year. Ok, so not quite as epic as your trip but I'm damn excited!!! :D woo woo!!
