So as the title suggests, and with the two of us lacking creative writing skills it's another list of what we did when we were in Queenstown.

We arrived at mid day on the 10th after a flight from Wellington on a small propeller plane. The journey was a bit different in what we are used to in that we were only at 15000 feet and able to see the landscape and countryside throughout the flight. Some great sites of both coast and snow covered mountains.
We instantly liked Queenstown which has a bustling air and is full of activity not I would suspect unlike an alpine resort in summer.
We set off immediately and took a trip across lake Wakitapu on the million dollar two cruise boat. I suspect the name comes from what the owner has made running this business. It was a good trip full of interesting commentary. So that done up the mountan we went on the gondlola. This was fun although a little steep for the liking of some. It was great to see the young men getting into the gondola's with their mountan bikes to travel down the mountan paths. That is something I would like to have a go at. However, all I did that was adventurous was to have a go on the mountain top Luge run. Fearless as can be it is limited to over 10 year olds. "He who dares eh!"

We enjoyed Queenstown so very much we stayed the extra night and the next day we set off for a trip to Arrowtown.
Arrowtown is a very small town which was at the forefront of the Goldrush which retains the old style buildings. Here we visited what are the remnants of the Chinease village. Small houses in which many people lived, many of which are built into the hillside and caves. Really interesting. We also took a trek along the river which was a pathway which was narrow and clung to the side of the hillside at times at quite some height. It too felt adveturous until people came past on mountain bikes at some speed. The views from the top were great and particularly watching a number of people below panning for gold in the river. Not sure how successful they were.

The following day we set off for our next destination..
