So, contrary to popular belief, we have not fallen off the face of the earth.

This is the part of the trip we had most been looking forward to. Singapore is where our friend Liany lives . She and her sister share a 3 bedroom apartment, so we were fortunate enough to be able to stay with them and spend a couple of days doing fun stuff!

Because of very strict, enforced rules, Singapore is a very clean city. There are heavy fines for many disdemeaners such as littering, chewing gum and spitting, drinking in public and many more. There are severe penalties for crime, as a result, for the most part it is a safe city.

We spent a day with Liany at the new Universal Studios and a day at Jurong bird park, then she had to go back to work, so we intrepid explorers were on our own to explore, so explore we did. We took in China town, Clarke Quay, and spent a lot of time on the fantastic transit system. The streets were all a bustle with preparations for Chinese New Year. Fun to see.
