Me and my mum decided that the best way to start our Journey would be to take the sleeper train to London from Kingussie. London is where we had to get the aeroplane and mum said there would be lots of exciting things to do in London.

I really liked the sleeper train. The room was very small and it had bunk beds. Mum said that I had to get into my pyjamas and go to bed on the top bunk. All night I kept waking up when the train kept stopping. I thought I was going to fall out onto the floor.

Eventually we arrived at Euston Station in London. London is the capital city of England and home to things like The Queen, Big Ben, The Houses of Parliament (that Guy Faulkes tried to blow up) and so many other things. As we only had a day in London mum thought that we could visit the Natural History Museum.

We travelled everywhere by underground trains. Mum called it the Tube. We had to go down lots of escalators and sometimes lifts. It was very busy and very hot. The trains were very fast and you had "please mind the gap" so you didn't fall under the train. There were lots and lots of people all squashed in at one time and I had to stand. I felt really squished.

The Natural history Museum was very exciting. There was lots of dinosaur bones and they had stuck them everywhere. They were real Tyrannosaurus Rex bones, real Triceratops bones and even the bones of a big Diplodocus. Mum said that archaeologists had rescued these bones from the earth so we know what they look like. The study of dinosaurs is called Palaeontology. We took lots of photos.

We also went to the Geology section of the museum. This is where there is a whole section on the earth and how it was made. My favourite bit was the all the stones.. There were huge big crystals that had been dug out of the earth and it showed you what the earth was made of. I saw the biggest diamond and hundreds of different types of stones.
The last area that we visited was the mammals area. We are mammals, so are bears and tigers and things. There was ever kind of animal old and new and we took lots of videos and pictures. The best animals I saw were Tigers, Whales and Bears. There were just too many to count. Take a look at the photos and videos.

Mum said that the next time we come to London we can go back and also go the Science Museum. London was fantastic. I loved it.
