It's been awhile since we entered on our blog. Wanted to give you an update. We have been staying with Dwight's family in Washington State. His sister lives in a small logging town, Pe Ell, half way between the interstate and the beach. They have a beach house at Wash-away Beach which unfortuately is living up to it's name. At one time they were 1/2 mile from the ocean. Now it is 67 ft from the front porch. We have been driving down about once a week to see the progress of the erosion. We don't expect it to last much longer and it has been a sad goodbye. Pictures are of our house and house across the street.

Dwight's brother lives in Olympia and we have been using his home as a half way house between Pe Ell and Seattle where we go to see the grandbabies on the weekends. Everyone has been so hospitable and this homeless, mooching off the relatives thing is working out really well so far.

Ben is coming up from San Francisco this weekend to introduce his intended to this half of the family. So more on that next time. Good thing she is a party girl 'cause this group knows how to party.

Northwest is great
So glad you are having a great time, I wish Lee would do that, we did that for awhile on the boat and traveled the intercoastal and stopped and met a few friends along the way, when we sailed over to the Bahamas. We are now have the year in Savannah, Ga. and the other half in Annapolis area, all the kids are still in SF. Braegen graduated from Evergreen in Olympia, and we fell in love with that place, I wish he would go back there and then I would have an excuse to visit. We spend most of our time visiting in SF. maybe our paths will cross sometime. Have a great time on you adventure, let us know if you settle or when & where. Happy Trails, georgie

Hi
What a sad situation. All the fond memories you all must have of a wonderful beach home now coming to an end... Sounds like you have a great routine going up there. We are still mooching off of Erin & Todd. Hoping to head home on Monday, weather permitting... 45* better then mid-teens & colder @ home. Poor Sarah has been in the deep freeze all week. Say hi to Ben &Jen .FYI: We are looking forward to a Packer victory Sunday.....Erin is nervous, you never know what the outcome between those 2 teams will be!! So we won't be doing any trash talking, don't want to jinx them. My dad would be so proud of her !! She is die hard just like he was. Love to all
