Some people reading through our blogs have noted mention of Chad having some of his "night episodes" that many are already familiar with. In short, for those who don't know, Chad has an amazing occasional habit of crying out some bizarre nonsense brought on by his dreams, and thus extremely hilarious for those of normal minds around him to witness these events. So far, there have been two incidents that I was aware of on this trip:

1. One night at a camp in the town of Wanaka, we were settling into our tents for sleep. Chad was already very sick with a cold that day, and this maybe played into his madness to follow; we put him in a tent by himself with the hope the cold wouldn't spread (futile). At roughly 11:00pm or so, I was awakened by Chad shouting, "Whoa, whoa, whoa, WHOA!!"...then a brief pause, "is there someone around me??" Asked in a aggravated voice. I was slightly disturbed as well to be woken up by this, and reassured him, "Yes," which seemed to satisfy him enough to keep quiet for the rest of the night.

2. This event was much less significant, but still funny because of two strangers who happened to be in the hut with us and very likely confused by the moment. This time, in the middle of the night, Chad shouted "Whoa, GUYS!?" which realizing what was happening I again quickly diffused the situation, and heard sentient Chad sigh with a curse word and return to sleep.

Anyway, I'll make an effort to record these events better in future blogs, but hopefully that answers some questions. haha
