"11:11 1/1/11" I just captured this from the screen of my phone. nothing special though but it was kind of interesting, perhaps I should try again on November 11th.
First day in 2011 but I didn't feel much different. weather was kind of foggy most of the time, only white colour while looking out from my window. it wasn't that cold as what they had predicted..."the coldest winter for the last 200 year!!!" but...I had my long-john underneath my pant already 2 weeks ago. most of the junctions and joints on my limbs were in pain, just because of the cold, and yes...it was cold...undisputable cold! by the end of the year, the town of Yuanyang was still uninspiring and colourless, with the refurbished work of the outer wall and flooring repaved of the walking street(wasn't it had been done one during 2006????!!!!), the dust, the debris of construction left-over, the noise of machinery....hate it. What about the surrounding? as you could see huge truck worked the road almost round the clock in Yuanyang, whenever you felt the stumbling sensation then you knew a truck had just drive through town. yeah...they need a lot of material for road construction inside the
terraces area, and also many building work going on as well, be it official(what is official?) or private. seem like everyone want to complete their project before the application for The World Heritage title. but...just look at what they were doing at the moment....they took away the natural sight, cut throught the hill side to straighten up the road, why??? I guess they want driver can see the scene while drive in a straight road, but...will it???...hahaaa...! Less and less tree while you tour along the main road, why? this time not because of logging, whenever there are nice terrace scene, then trees would had to sacrified and gave way...chop chop chop...! great...now everyone could see terrace scene easily, what an open view...hurrayyyyy!!!!!! but...one thing really was interesting. I saw they created small sand island along the roadside, just imagine those island on the side of the road in city, they were trying to grow tree in the small island, to make the area green!!! that you would do in a city!!!! I still couldn't find a word for an expression...hypocrisy...ironic...paradox...I don't know, but sure you got what I mean...right? to greener the country side while the area already was
green and had trees. who is that genius that came up with this idea or...could I said...a solution!!! because...there should be some money that need to be cross out from the schedule I guess!
In between foggy day there was sudden hello from the sun, and I of course took the chance to ventured out for a walk. Duoyishu undisputably is the most beautiful area in Yuanyang, with an 365 days itinerary you still find it like a new destination everyday you walk out there, you found yourself reproduced the image again and again like you had never seen them before, strange wasn't it...but...not only me...everyone did!!!! life inside the village hadn't change much, althought yellowish repaint were everywhere, but the paved walking lane is an welcoming sight, it made touring around eailer while in rainy day. Now the cut cross road from Duoyishu to Mengping had been through, only need the final pavement work and the business could be run on full power. no idea what would be like when hundreds of tour drive into the mountain area. those were the area I love to hike in leisure pace, now...disappeared and gone. standing on the top of the hill.
I could see the scene on both side of the mountain range, this is where I said you could see sunrise and sunset on the same place, the overall view was still lovely. But once look closely while back on the main road, you could feel the artificial air in between, everything was calculated....why couldn't we leave it the way it was...the natural way!!!!
looking out my window and the sky getting clear a bit now, stared down the street and it seem clean, but most of the garbage were behind the scene. And look at the people they just go about their own business and seem happy, but...would it be the same...appearanly happy on the the outside! And...was I happy? why wouldn't I. indeed...I gave myself a double H for this new year resolution, actually not just for this year, it should be start from this year. what is Double H? Happiness and Healthy, I will not go for less from now on, but you probably already saw the chain and relation between the two Hs, they are related, they grew together and withering together, if you are not happy...you won't be healthy, and niether way. I came across
a book last year about how the system of human body work. Human boday is actually composed by many many cells, and it said all of these cells could heal itself without using medicine when it went wrong, as long as we lead a regular life style. I tried it and honestly...I hadn't the need to take a single pills for the last 3 months. see....it wasn't I just save the money for medicine, but I am happier than ever since!!! take my advices....The Double H!!!!
happy new year!!!
