The Iguazu river splits the countries
Located right beside the borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay, the Iguazu Falls are one of the most stunning natural wonders of the world and a UNESCO world heritage site. The falls are accessible from Foz do Iguacu on the Brazil side, or Puerto Iguazu on the Argentinean side. Sarah and I viewed the falls from both sides and found both experiences stunning. The Argentinean side offers a grander view of the falls however, and there are a lot more viewpoints from there. As it turned out we also had better weather on our day at Puerto Iguazu.

So with a picture painting a thousand words, I am going to leave it to our Canon Powershot SX210 to do the talking!

Highly recommended-

Before we saw the falls, we could hear them roar. Our first view from Brazil here was exciting.

With so much rain over the preceding weeks, there was an increased volume of water.

The rainwater and increased deforestation causes the red soil to wash onto the rivers and leads to the brownish water that you may see here.

Here, you can see as the river flows over the rock and cascades down about 100 ft or so.
