So we arrived in Nha Trang to lots of rain and we were half cut after 11 hours, a million card games and quite a few beers! We didn’t do much on our 2 night stay in Nha Trang it was rainy and we realized that we had 100 quid stolen us, either at our last hotel or the night we arrived in Nha Trang; we were pissed off.

We headed to Dalat after Nha Trang, the bus journey was eerie again at the beginning the bus felt it was going to topple over as the roads were in a really bad state after flooding. The journey did get better as we climbed really high up into the mountains to reach Dalat; the views here were breathtaking. We spent one last night with Sophie and Willem and went for a nice meal and drinks; the next day they were heading on an amazing 6 day trip with the easy riders (group of local guides who ride motorbikes and show you the real Vietnam) while we could only do a one day tour with the easy riders but it was fantastic.

We cruised through the mountains on the backs of

The roads were really rocky and he lost his panels on either side..
the really friendly guys they took us to see growers of flowers, coffee and vegetables; we visited a beautiful waterfall; went to see how rice wine is made; visited a silk factory which was really good; took a look around a traditional ethnic community; went to a house that was named the crazy house because of its crazy architecture and went to a temple too. All of this was done at a slow pace and we ate at a really cheap local place where we both tried pigs tongue and Dim tried pigs lady bits which I refused to have - minging!!

Dalat was the best place we had visited yet in Vietnam; the people were really friendly and genuine and there was a lot to see and do all in all a fab trip – next stop Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).

The riders pulled up at the side of the road and said it was time for morning exercise and showed us a hill to climb and said they would wait at the other side - this was the view from the top!
