This has got to be the only place in the world where you can buy gold from a machine.....for cash only!! there are different weights to choose from!
So, day 3!
Chis is so wrapped up in the football that he has no time to type!!!!
Anyway, so it's my turn!!!
We woke up late. . . 1.30pm wondering why the builders and window cleaners were working in the middle of the night. . . turns out it was late morning!!!
Chis cooks breakfast, omelette, at 2, as Oliver arrives home from work!
Planning the day we decide to take a trip to the Emirates Palace Hotel. . .we take a look at the exhibition for the new architecture. . .my favourite being the design for the maritime exhibition. . . .
We then had coffee, cappacino coated with 24 carat gold flakes!!!! OMG what does gold TASTE LIKE?
We then went to the cultural area, which was pretty much closed, but we were able to wander! we saw the enormous flag.... see pictures....
We then went to the Marina Mall.... This houses a viewing lounge, a doughnut looking creation at the top of the tower that grows from the shopping area!
Charles is a hit with the waiting staff, and Leilah soon finds a very happy cuddling friend.
We have drinks and ice cream whilst taking in the

view. . . but it's dark so just pretty lights!
Dinner back at the apartment, chilli con carne is served up by master chef oli. . . and Arsenal served up as dessert!
Every thing happens either very early or very late here. . even in the evening it is still hot. . . shops staying open till late to allow people to come out in the cooler night air. Restaurants entertain locals till late into the night!
It is a very multicultural society i am not sure if my shoulder being bare is ok or not. . . Chris is finding it hard not being able to hold my hand or kiss me when ever he feels. I am thinking that the Burkha is a very sensible outfit for this part of the world.
I think that is pretty much it for today, just awaiting an Arsenal Win!!! lol
