Kia Orana everybody,
This week the weather has not really lived up to the paradise setting and has been overcast a lot! It has been a relaxing break though and when the weather is nice it is really beautiful here. We went snorkelling the other day and saw an amazing amount of brightly coloured tropical fish swimming right up to us. It was like swimming in an aquarium! We were both a bit nervious at first as there were so many fish and some were prety big, but we soon relaxed and really enjoyed it.
We have also walked to the waterfall on the island which took us two hours to get to, but was worth it! It was surrounded by jungle and looked really inviting for a swim in the clear pool beneath it.
Food on the island is expensive as a lot has to be imported so we have cooked every evening except when we went to the village night. Which involved a big buffet followed by a show of traditional dancing and music. A nice change from pasta and rice followed by card games!
We would definitely recommend Rarotonga as a holiday desination, when the weather is nice!

We leave here tonight and are both looking forward to starting our campervan adventure around New Zealand after a couple of days in Christchurch.

We will keep you updated as much as possible.

We can't believe our first month has gone, It has flown by!

Missing you all, lots of love

Simon and Abi xxxx

Dan: like how you decided to come back to the UK just after we left, are you trying to tell us something!! We get to Singapore on the 2nd Jan. Any tips? Have a great time in Chelt.
