New Zealand Begins!!

Hello from New Zealand!

Just a quick blog to update you all! We had a lovely 2 days in Christchurch sightseeing, in the cold!! It felt like we were in the UK!! Luckily though it's warmed up since and we're back to shorts weather!

On tuesday we picked up our sleepervan, which is amazing!! It's very cosy but has enough room for everything we need! We've started travelling south and yesterday saw Lake Tekapo, a massive bright blue lake surrounded by snowy mountains. Before heading on to Oamaru where we saw penguins coming up onto the beach! The scenary here is spectacular and we're really enjoying it here, plus we can camp for free in some beautiful places.

Weather
Hi Abi and Simon - sounds as if you are having an amazing time! Pleased to hear that the weather is as unpredictable there as it is hear - one minute glorious sunshine, then freezing cold, followed by snow, and today the snow has been washed away by rain. Terry (as in Terry and Christine) wrote his car off going down the hil towards the Fox, Liz spun her car round 180* and had to abandon it overnight on Hackney Hill - fortunately a policeman closed the road both ends! All exciting stuff. Look after yourselves. Love P & L
