Yes, we know a blog has been long overdue. However, we are back in Africa, and sometimes there are things that are beyond our control. It took four days to get our internet back up and running, and then we've had a lot of power outages. Anyway, we made it home! Our flights went just fine..the only hitch was that 10 out of 11 pieces of luggage were missing when we arrived. They came in on the next nights' flight, so all was well.

It is dry as a bone here, with lots of evidence in our house, in the form of dirt. We've had our work cut out for us as we clean, sweep, mop and scrub. We are very thankful that creepy crawlies didn't take over while we were away! We've just about got things back into shape.

Lindsey found a puppy for sale right before we left on furlough, and the owner was willing to save it for her. Lindsey picked her up a couple of days after we got home and she is the cutest little puppy. Lindsey named her Panya, which means "mouse" in Swahili. She's a Jack Russell Terrier, and is a perfect little companion for Lindsey.

This past weekend there was held a Tanzania Leadership Conference. Usually there has been a leadership seminar in the month of June, but the timing has been rearranged a bit and it was held in October this year. Several visitors from the States were in attendance and participated in speaking.

George started teaching again this week. His classes are Life and Work of the Preacher and Minor Prophets. He loves teaching these students; they are a great group of guys. They will graduate next month.

One of the Ugandan graduates had asked George for help in getting George's Evangelism booklet translated into the Lugandan language. George has agreed to help him get it printed, and so the brother had his translation work ready and waiting when we returned. I've taken on the project of typing it up; I should be finished before the week is gone. It's exciting to think of this material being available in the Lugandan language.

Thank you so much for your continued support of our family. We are so thankful for your faithfulness.

In Christ,
Joy
