So...how to start. My day was all in all pretty much the same as yesterday and the day before. But as I'm sure many of you know there's always some kind of new experience that makes its way into the mix of things.

Class with Oky today was great! She complimented my Spanish. =) Letting me know that as difficult as it might be right now she can already notice an improvement in my speaking. I'm not as shy is the way she put it. Her telling me this really put a smile on my face because I am having a difficult time right now. It's hard...when you're surrounded by people that speak NO english it gets frustrating when you know what you want to say, you just can't say it. haha But, I know my Spanish is getting better too. I'm starting to feel more comfortable and confident when I speak, which is a huge relief.

After class I decided to stroll around the city for a while since the weather chose to only mist instead of down pour for a few minutes. I walked mmm say 6 blocks into the city window shopping every store I passed. One store really caught my eye though. If anyone knows me they can tell you that I love beachy/colorful and funky jewelry. This store had numerous bracelets, earrings, necklaces, etc! So of course like any other tourist I walked in and managed to purchase ehh 3 things. I was being good. And can anyone guess how much it cost me? You'll never guess! Only 4 American dollars! For earrings, an ankle bracelet and a regular bracelet! Amazing right? I'd move here just for the shopping! haha my mom would be proud of my frugalness.

Anywho, I continued to walk a few more blocks into town hoping to find a new interesting place to have some lunch. I walked through "central park" taking a few pictures here and there of the flowers, Ticos (locals), etc. I had a ton of luck finding ice cream shops, but no actual lunch food. Of course again if you know me you'd know that I'd be more than content just eating ice-cream for lunch but I figured it wasn't the best decision. I walked back towards Miriam's house taking a different route than I had the previous days and it brought much more experience with it.

The rain began to fall a bit harder...then harder...and harded until once again it was a torrential down pour. I busted out my umbrella and awesome poncho. Trust me it's oh so sexy. Give or take 10 minutes the rain turned to a light mist and I was able to remove my flattering poncho. Next thing I know I get honked at....so what to ya know I guess that poncho was working for me haha! From then on about every say 2 cars that passed honked! Or I had a hombre (man) whispering something as he passed by. "Oh que linda!" or "Mmm muy bonita Gringa!" Gringa is what the locals like to call Americans. Needless to say my walk back was quite the experience. Who knew a poncho could get you a date these days? haha!

Days are getting better and more interesting every minute!
Until tomorrow!

Poncho Fashion?
Both Dad and I are wondering what else you were wearing besides a poncho that got you all those honks? As we say in Tampa....Gracias and "Odios"....
