Hi everyone~
This blog is from when my wonderful brother Danny came to visit Larry and I in South Korea with his girlfriend Jessica. The four of us had a great time, as I'm sure you can see by the photos!
Now, this wasn't Danny's first time in Korea. He actually came to visit us a few years back, right after he graduated college, when we lived in Paju and worked at English Village. He had more time for vacation back then as he hadn't yet started his job, and so after he spent a couple weeks in Korea with us, the three of us also went to 4 cities in China! But this time was special nonetheless because, even though we didn't even have a full week together, we all fit in as much sightseeing and hands-on activities as physically possible! It was also very nice because I got to celebrate my birthday with Danny and Jessica as well!
Some of the fun things we did that you'll see in the pictures include: Shopping in Myeongdong and visiting an old catholic church there, walking around a Buddhist temple, taking a Korean traditional cooking class and local market
tour, going to Caribbean Bay (a waterpark), shopping in Namdaemun Market (a traditional Korean market), visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace and watching a "Guard Changing Ceremony," eating at Mad 4 Garlic for Melanie's b'day, checking out a local improv show, and even going to the Kimchi Museum! The list goes on, but those are just some of the highlights... We tackled quite a lot considering the short timeframe, and also, the fact that these two were fighting some extreme jet-lag!!
Charlie was also happy to meet Danny & Jessica...but feels bad he made them sneezy! "Sorry!" (That was from Charlie...not me!)
Well, we hope you enjoy this blog. We'll have another coming out soon of my sister Lisa and her friend Zoe coming out to visit us , too! Remember everyone, our door is always open to friends and family who would like to visit Korea (or just us!) 😊
