Dear all,

so we've had an action packed few days....

We went on the TSS earnslaw steam boat and had dinner at walter peak high station. Phil was very much enjoying watching the engines but i thought they smelled funny.
We didn't manage to go to the cow shed Liz but there's one somewhere else so we'll go to that.
We found a microbrewary place instead and watched the new zealand rugby match in an Irish bar - yes all the way to New Zealand to go to an Irish bar!! Although it was necessary to support New Zealand i would not like to be associated with the massive cheating that took place in order for Richie McCaw to score that try - how he was unbound when the ball wasn't even out i'll never know?!?!?!

We also decided that the gondola was "for pussys" to quote phil and walked up to the top for lunch !!! amazing views but a rather steep track to get there!!

Then we left Queenstown on our trip to Milford Sound - completely mad bus driver who stopped all over the place on the way to visit bird sanctuarys and make us go on nature walks.
finally we arrived at Milford sound and it was SUNNY - yes that was sunny and calm, for those of you who've never been it's usually under cloud and rain etc.
So we went out in kayaks and had a paddle around.
It was raining in the morning the next day but then we were just cruising out to the Tazmin sea and then back to port.

So today we're in Dunedin.
We went for a horse trek this monring and have just returned form the speight brewery tour and dinner and you will find this very hard to believe but phil actually couldn't even start his pudding ( we got them to take away) and he said no to one last beer !!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are right Joff Macs gold is nice but the speights range is jolly tastey too!

Off on the gorge railway tomorrow and on to Wanaka to see if there's enough snow to snowboard.

F and P xx
