Tiananmen Square, then the Forbidden City, then a silk factory, then lunch at a Dai hill tribe minority restaurant, then a ride in a rickshaw through a Hutong district (more on that later). Sounded pretty daunting for people who are not tour group people. So first we cancelled last night and then we called today at 6, waking the tour guide, George up to say that we had changed our minds. Then we were late meeting everyone in the lobby and he had to call our room to see where we were. Then we didn't listen to his instructions in the Forbidden City when he was telling us not to get separated from the group and where to meet and then we got separated from the group causing the group to have to divide into two searching for us until we were found twenty minutes later. Oddly, we have not been exiled from the group and will join them again tomorrow.
