Bit of Information to set the scene:

"Taller than Niagara Falls, twice as wide with 275 cascades spread in a horsehoe shape over nearly two miles of the Iguazu River, Iguazú Falls are the result of a volcanic eruption which left yet another large crack in the earth. During the rainy season of November - March, the rate of flow of water going over the falls may reach 450,000 cubic feet (12,750 cubic m) per second."

"The falls are part of a singular practically virgin jungle ecosystem protected by Argentine and Brazilian national parks on either side of the cascades. Two thirds of the falls are on the Argentinian side of the river where you can also tour Iguazú National Park where there are jungle trails and bird hikes." (Source: about.com)

My Experience:

Words can not describe how out of this world the falls are but ill try my best. You seen the photos, youve head the stories but none of this compares to seeing it first hand and hearing the roar of the water.

As shown above the falls has two sides, on day one we saw the Brazilian side of the falls. This side gives you a great shot of the whole of the falls, we needed about 2 hours to do the tour. On the other hand the Argentine side needs a whole days and lets you get up close and personal with the falls, even giving you the ability to touch it.

Favourite thing:

The boys and I decided to do the boat tour on the Argentine where you go actually go under the falls. We'd previously been warned that you get soaking wet by some other travellers so before the boat we stripped down to just our boardies. People were giving us the weirdess looks because it was FREEZING.... The boat tour itself was awesome!! I have never experience anything like that before and we got wet/soaked going under the falls, but it was the best shower I have ever had (even better than when we used to have to old shower head in the downstairs shower @ 10 Baringa).

Coming out of the boat everyone was soaked but we were the smart ones now as only our boardies were wet not all our clothes.

The falls is still the best thing I have done since coming to South America
