Since coming home with Bao from Vietnam, we would play a game with him. "I'm gonna get you!" "I'm gonna get you!" Then we would stomp towards him slowly in a greatly exaggerated menacing fashion, grab him, and he would scream in delight. Of course it is a game of run and catch, of hide and seek, but also a game showing that he is part of us, that he belongs with us, a sense of belonging, a family. We can never believe that he doesn't tire of this game, with its predictable ending of that we never fail to "get" him. We don't really know how to convey to him that he is getting a brother, someone that for good and bad, will be with him for life, someone that he didn't start with, like us, other than to say "We're gonna get on that airplane and fly far away and go get Jin. We're gonna get him." Bao gets this, and soon, Bao gets Jin.
