Packing to leave. Why do I wait until midnight? No need to hurry, though. We have no timetables, or places to be. We are footloose and fancy free. Steve just told me he hopes the Western Trip ,as he calls it, will inspire him to write and do something. Quote.
I hope it inspires me to. I am taking a sketch pad and notebook, too.
I will cross several things off my Bucket List this trip. 'Going back to some places I went as a child, and see things that are new to me.
As I tell people where I am going this trip, several things are becoming abundantly clear to me. More men that women go to the Grand Canyon. I don't think I have met anyone this week who is female, of any age, that has seen the GC. They all say they want to, though.
My dentist told me to expect to be awestruck. Other men have said similar things.
Steve has been there. I have not.
My friend Allan told me about Bisbee, AZ, south of Tombstone, so we have another place to see. That is exciting.
This blog is just to keep you all updated without beating the hell out of FaceBook with my updates.
Steve drives, and I text and hook on my projects. Nice deal. Driving Miss Susan works for me.
Leaving early this morning. No hotel reservations for tomorrow night. Gonna take our chances. uh oh...Meridian, Missippi or Tuscaloosa, Alabama come to mind...OH, well.
Wagons! Ho-oh!

Bucket List Travels
Jim and travel without reservations most of the time. Well I have reservations but not the hotel kind. We once went to Dover with plans to spend the night only to find a NASCAR race going on and no rooms at the inn....anywhere within 100 miles. We seem to gravitate to the "hot spots". Have fun!!!
