We set off back to Oslo in good moods, hoping that those attitudes would remain the same for the next 30 hours of our journey. We had decided that four of us would rotate, each of us driving four hour shifts at a time. I was fourth on the list but got bumped up when the other girl decided she would rather sleep. It was 3 am but I didn’t really mind because after trying to sleep on the cold hard floor of our VW without being able to move at all, the thought of driving sounded more appealing than another 4 hours of torture on the floor. I bought some Red Bull and coffee and was ready to go with Dina agreeing to sit up front with me and make sure my eyes stayed open. We had already passed through Slovakia and Czech, so I picked up in Germany. The highways in Germany are very nice so we quickly made it to the Danish border and then to the house of a fellow JR Army soldier to pick up some flyers by 9 am at which time I relinquished the keys. I almost started crying when I saw it was once again snowing. However, the snowflakes were so huge and beautiful that I was still able to appreciate them (even though I was missing the sun we had in Hungary). After little sleep, I could tell our attitudes were not quite as cheerful. I’ve found this is the best time to just keep quiet.

We are now headed to catch a ferry from Denmark to Sweden and then will continue onto Oslo (I am sitting at a McDonalds with wireless). We will be reunited with all the other JR teams for three days of teaching and catching up before we have 10 days Easter vacation. I will be spending my break with my mom and cousin in Malaga for half the break and then the other half my mother will join me in Budapest to catch one of our concerts before she returns to Texas.

During our final days in Budapest I had to take care the team finances and the finances for the shop, with stops at the bank to exchange the money into Euros. I also went once again with Beat and Talitha into the city to meet Talitha’s friend, Jonathan, who happens to be backpacking through Europe for 3 months with his friend.

Since we have this break I thought it would be a good time to really start paying and asking God for guidance as to what my next step should be come August. I didn’t want to do this too much while I tour because I really want my mind where I am and not looking so far ahead that I miss this time I am living in. Even though I am enjoying my time with JR I do not think this is where I am supposed to be next year (unless God tells me otherwise, although at this point I don’t think He will). There are many reasons that I feel this way, none having anything negative to do with JR, I just think I am supposed to be somewhere else after this. You can be praying with me for me to hear God’s direction and to boldly go forward with whatever or wherever He directs me.

Be encouraged
Hey Brandy- I just wanted to take a minute to encourage you! Your travelblog has been something that I look forward to. I love seeing how God is moving and changing you and those He touches through you. The concert given in our church in Bastrop was an inspiration to all, young and old. (HAHA) I'm sure your Mom told you that there is an army of 50+ JRs that were ready to sign up. We all got a good laugh at that! You are apart of something bigger than yourself and stepped Boldly out as God beckoned you, Praise God. He will work through you in amazing ways for the rest of your days, this I know. Thank you for takling the time to stop a moment and update us on your adventure. It has been an adventure for us all. Take care and God be with you- Love, Kelly
