Andy and Dag took us for breakfast and lunch in Stanford City Square. This area of Jo’Burg is very affluent and reminded us of Canary Wharf. I saw John Barnes here, being interviewed by a TV company. This square is also the home of the tribute statue of Nelson Mandela.
We have been talking to Elize about her son, who represents SA in gymnastics. He apparently is being groomed for the 2016 Olympic Games. Elize is concerned as she is unable to find sponsorship for him. Roger mentioned this to Andy who told Roger to get Elize to send her sons CV to him and he would look into his company sponsoring him. So maybe we have been a little helpful in this respect. We hope so. Tonight we are going to keep it low key. We are going to a local bar to watch Bafana Bafana (the boys, the boys -) SA Football team, play. Roger and I have bought Bafana Bafana bright yellow tops to show our support for the SA national Team. We have also realised that we have never seen a team we support (Our beautiful Chelsea) win overseas. With this in mind we have decided to support Algeria in the next match, Come on Algeria !!!!!!!
We need to be up at 3 a.m. for our flight to Cape Town, where we understand the weather is awful. Happy Days.

Fun times eh?
Sounds as if you are both having a fantastic time - of course I'm not jealous...work continues to be a real ball! Shame about the weather! Not been too bad here :) Keep the blogs coming - certainly breaks up the day and gives us something to talk about in the kitchen! Sue
